Campo Verde Walks Off Willow Canyon
Hayden Whalen walked to lead off the bottom of the 8th inning and later scored on an infield throwing error as Campo Verde walked off Willow Canyon 7-6.
Campo took an early lead when Isaiah Lopez singled and scored on a Garrett Breazeale fist inning double to make it 1-0.
The Coyotes added a pair more in the third when Mason Macaluso stroked a 2 out single, and came around to score on a triple by Josh Leckey.
Ryan Springborn drove in Leckey with a single through the hole at short and it was 3-0.
Campo starter Asher Hagemeister was perfect trough the first 3 innings, but Willow lead off man Matty Carter opened the 4th with a shot up the middle for a base knock.
After 2 quick outs, Isaiah Ramirez walked and Xavier Churchwell doubled to left field, plating Carter to make it 3-1.
Alex Montoya followed with a line shot to right field for another double, scoring Ramirez and Churchill and tying the game at 3.
Campo answered back in the 4th when Jayden Smith singled, and with 2 outs, Cameron Pehrson launched a towering drive over the fence in left for a 2 run dinger and a 5-3 lead.
The Wildcats weren’t done, however. In the top of the fifth, Carter coaxed a 2 out walk and Jayson Hayes followed with another free pass to put runners on first and second.
Dallan Curthoys then singled through the right side to score Carter and move Hayes to second.
With the ‘cats down by one, Ramirez grounded a ball to short and looked to be out at first but the throw was bobbled and dropped at first and Hayes scored on the play to tie it at 5.
Campo argued for an out call on the glove to hand transfer but to no avail.
Willow took the lead in the top of the 7th when Carter walked again and Hayes followed with a double to right putting runners at second and third.
Carter would score on a Curthoys ground out to make it 7-6.
Campo sent it to extras in the bottom half when Pehrson led off with a line single to right and scored on a double from Leckey.
In the bottom of the 8th Whalen walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on a sac bunt by Trent Adams.
Smith then sent a grounder to short but the throw sailed high and Whalen scored the walk off game winner.
Leckey ended the day 2-4 with a double, triple and 2 RBIs.
Pehrson was 2-4 with a bomb, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
Carter was 1-2 with 2 walks and 3 runs cored for Willow.
Churchwell and Montoya each had 2 hits.
Adams got the mound win in relief. The big lefty worked 3 1/3 innings, allowing 3 hits and a solo run with 6 Ks.
Mesa 6 Boulder Creek 2
Mesa took a 6-1 win over Boulder Creek.
BC started the scoring in the second inning on a Connor Lawrence RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
In the third, Mesa drew 4 consecutive walks to start the inning and tie it at 1.
Christian Reynoso then lined a ball to left for a base hit, scoring 2 and giving the Jackrabbits a 3-1 lead.
In the 4th Jacob Hanna and Logan Tucker lined consecutive doubles to right to make it 4-1.
Kannon Dush then drove in Tucker with a single to put the Bunnies up 5-1.
In the 5th Hanna lined a scud over the wall in center to close out the scoring and make it 6-1.
Zach Quintana tossed 6 innings, scattering 5 hitswith 4 Ks to pick up the win.
Hanna ended the day 2-2 with a double and a homer.
For BC. Logan Deskin was 2-3.
St. Mary’s 11 Cactus 7
St. Mary’s pounded out 17 hits en route to an 11-7 win over Cactus.
Adam Baratta was 4-4 for the Knights.
Alex Perez was 3-5 with a double and 3 runs scored.
Carlos Jasso was 3-3 with 3 RBIs
Sean Trujillo homered.
Verrado 7 Casteel 4
Verrado made the long roadie to casteel and came away with a 7-4 win.

Rocky King had a 2-3 day at the dish and worked 4 innings on the hill, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs to get the victory.
Higley 9 Centennial 1
Mason Gehling tossed a complete game, allowing 4 hits in 6 innings with 7 Ks as Higley dropped Centennial 9-1.
Andrew Talley was 3-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs.
Desert Mountain 11 Cactus Shadows 1 (5 Inn)
Desert Mountain cranked out 14 hits and mercy ruled Cactus Shadows 11-1.
Aiden Storm was 3-3 with a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
Wes Kath was 2-3 with a homer.
Michael Pizzagoni went 2-2 with a pair of doubles.
Nick Suspenzi was 2-2 with 3 RBIs. Drake Mueller was 2-3.
Paul Sachen worked all 5 innings on the hill for the W and went 1-3 at the plate.

Chase Valentine launched a 2 run homer in the top of the 7th to cap a 4 run inning and give O’Connor a 5-4 win over Desert Vista.
Valentine also worked a 1-2-3 7th on the hill to pick up the win.
Gilbert 7 Sunrise Mountain 4
Gilbert scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and held on to beat Sunrise Mountain 7-4.
The Tigers took advantage of 6 Mustang errors.
Nick Rehmer was 2-3 with 2 RBIs.
Ryan Meyer was 2-4.
Caleb Thomason and Ethan Snodgrass homered for SM.
Liberty 7 LaJoya 3
Liberty scored 2 runs in the 6th and 3 in the 7th to take a 7-3 win over LaJoya.

Trevor Saire worked the last 2 innngs to pick up the win. Saire recorded all 6 outs via the punchee.
Chaparral 9 Mountain Pointe 5
Chaparral plated 7 runs in the first 3 innings off Mountain Pointe starter Nick Wallerstedt and took a 9-5 road win.
Trevor Long homered and knocked in 2 runs.
Enzo Apodaca was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.

Mountain Ridge jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and rolled to a 6-3 win over Cibola.
Tate Childers was 2-3 with 3 RBIs for the Lions.
