Early Lead Sends Campo Verde to Victory Over Cienega
Campo Verde scored 4 runs in the second inning and rolled to a 10-2 victory over Cienega.
The Coyotes sent 9 men to the plate in the second, and got an RBI double from Mason Macaluso to start the scoring and thern 3 consecutive RBI singles from Jayden Smith, Jesh Leckey and Cameron Pehrson.
Macaluso did damage again in the 3rd, lining a 2 run blast over the left field fence to put the ‘yotes up 6-0.
Cienega broke through in the 4th when Daniel Montana led off with a towering solo homer to make it 6-1.
Six CV hitters had multi hit games.
Garrett Breazeale was 3-3 with a double and 2 RBIs.
Smith was 3-4 from the lead off spot with an RBI and a run scored.
Macaluso knocked in 3 runs with a double and homer. Leckey, Pehrson and RYan Vickers all had 2 hits.
Sophomore Isaiah Lopez tossed 5 innings, scattering 5 hits and allowing 1 run with 7 Ks.

Junior lefthander Daevion King threw a complete game 5 hit shuout with 6 Ks as Red Mountain traveled to O’Connor and came home with a 10-0 victory.
Kai Murphy led the RM offense, going 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.
Nate Campos was 3-4 with a double and 3 runs scored.
Ryan Campos and Nate Zobeck each had 2 hits.
Connor Watson cranked a solo homer.

Horizon pounded out 17 hits en route to a 16-1 win over North Canyon.
The Huskies got long balls from Mason Francis, Logan Kershner and Tony Sortino.

Christian Jacob allowed only 3 hits and a solo run in 4 innings on the hill to get the W.

Gilbert traveled to Ironwood Ridge and came away with a 5-2 victory.
The Tigers broke up a scoreless tie in the top of the 5th when Jay Evans lined a solo homer over the fence in left.
In the 6th, Nick Rehmer led off with another solo bomb and it was 2-0.
Brandon Drew punched out 7 in 5 2/3 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs for the mound win.

Connor Markl threw 5 1/3 innings, fanning 9 and scattering 6 hits as Notre Dame topped Millennium 8-3.
Markl also aided his cause with a 4th inning 2 run homer.
Paul Marsillo went 3-3 with a double, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
Griffen Chewning was 2-4 and scored a run.

Nogales took advantage of 9 walks and 4 Rincon errors to take a 21-1 win.
Alec Acevedo homered and drove in 4 runs.

Dallan Curthoys homered twice and drove in 5 runs to lead Willow Canyon to a 10-6 win over Agua Fria.
Jayson Hayes went 4-4 with 2 doubles for Willow.
