Hamilton Walks Off Mesquite On Opening Day
Michael Brueser cranked a full count 2 run 9th inning homer to give Hamilton a walk off win over Mesquite 5-3 in the Desert Vista tourney on opening day for Arizona high school baseball.
Mesquite seemed to have the game in hand in the bottom of the 7th, with 2 outs and runners on 1st and second. But an ill-advised pick off attempt from pitcher Holden Breeze skipped past Davis Heller, allowing Easton Erwin to score from second with the tying run and send the game to extras.
