Perry Defeats Boulder Creek
Perry used an 11 hit attack and some solid mound work to take an 8-3 win over Boulder Creek.
The Pumas got on the board in the second when, with 2 outs, CJ Valdez and Brycen Tambone walked and Kasin Alexander’s grounder to short was thrown away at 3rd allowing Valdez to score.
Michael Zinter then followed with a hard ground ball through the right side, plating 2 more runs and giving Perry a 3-0 lead.
BC got a lead off double from Jason Reed to start the second inning, and Gabe Gallo drove Reed in with an RBI knock to make it 3-1.
Perry took control in the 3rd. With one out, Valdez grounded a ball up the middle and never slowed down, hustling his way to a double.
Tambone followed with a hard grounder that skipped past the second baseman, scoring Valdez with Tambone ending up at second.
One out later Zinter lined a shot to left for another 2 bagger and it was 5-1.
Ryan Lucero would drive in Zinter with a line drive single to eft anmd the Pumas led for good 6-1.
Perry junior righty Zach De Hondol worked 5 innings, scattering 8 hits and allowing 3 runs to earn the win.
Logan Johnson would come on in relief with no one out and men on second and third in the 6th and get 2 quick punch outs and a fly ball. He would retire the side in the 7th and finished with 3 Ks in 2 innings on the hill.
Valdez was 3-3 at the dish with 2 runs scored.
Zinter was 2-3 with 2 RBIs and Adam Parra added a pair of hits.
Corona del Sol 10 Mountain Pointe 0 (6 Inn)
Nick Schobinger tossed 6 scoreless innings as Corona del Sol blanked Mountain Pointe 10-0.
Schobinger allowed only 3 hits and fanned 2.
Hunter Haas was 4-4 at the plate to pace a 13 hit attack.

Barrett Skaugrud threw a 4 hit shutout to lead O’Connor to a 4-0 win over Mountain Ridge.

Brandon “Moose” Childers tossed 6 shutout innings with 10 punch outs to lead Desert Vista to a 4-1 win over Queen Creek.

Tanner Smith and Cam Laliberte both homered and had 3 hits and 3 RBIs to lead Basha to an 11-5 win over Chandler.
The Bears pounded out 14 hits with Ty Siffermann, Bitner Workman and jake Greenbank all collecting 2 hits.

Liberty exploded for 8 runs in the third inning and held on for an 8-6 win over Chaparral.
